Job Aid Development

Fabric | Reference guides for operators

I developed job aids that operators could consult right at their workstation. The guides broke down each task into numbered steps and highlighted the safety requirements, quality checks, and exceptions operators needed to keep in mind.

How I Developed the Guide

I worked from existing source materials or observed the process firsthand, then turned what I learned into numbered steps supported by photos and screenshots. I partnered with subject matter experts to verify that the instructions matched how the work was done. The book used Fabric Academy branding throughout, tying the station reference to Fabric’s broader learning materials.

The Pack section shows how the book pairs step-by-step instructions with visuals operators can recognize from their workstations.
